Aint Production HKCC-01 Old Master Q 60th Anniversary 1/12 Figure

For readers outside Asia, Old Master Q (老夫子) needs a word of introduction: he is Hong Kong’s most enduring comic character, created by cartoonist Wong Chak (王澤) in the 1960s and beloved across Chinese-speaking communities ever since — a bald, moustached everyman in a yellow robe, black vest and blue checkered trousers, famous for his slapstick antics and doomed romantic pursuits. Aint Production, a Hong Kong brand, marks the character’s 60th anniversary with the officially licensed HKCC-01: a fully articulated 1/12 figure (about 14.5cm) that recreates his iconic look, right down to the three large white buttons on the vest.

The package

The figure nails the signature costume: yellow long tunic, black vest with the three white round buttons, blue checkered trousers, and a gentle-smile face under a magnetic hat that can be removed to reveal the bald head underneath. Three expression head sculpts are included, along with eight interchangeable hands (relaxed, open, fists, pointing and object-gripping), so you can stage everything from a leisurely stroll to an animated argument.

Accessories lean into the comic’s best-known gags: two mini comic books at 1/12 scale, a bright red bouquet — a nod to his many ill-fated proposals to Miss Chan — and a 60th Anniversary themed base with support stand. Pre-order bonuses include his loyal little dog (Wandry), the figure’s most loyal companion. The body is fully articulated across multiple joints for dynamic, comedic posing.

Why it matters

Old Master Q has been merchandised endlessly as vinyl figures and statues, but a fully poseable, accessory-rich 1/12 action figure is a different proposition — it treats the character with the same serious tooling that collectors expect from a licensed release. For overseas collectors, HKCC-01 is also a low-friction entry point into a Hong Kong cultural icon.

The figure lists at HKD 499 (about US$64 at conversion — Aint Production does not publish an official USD price). Availability needs a careful read: the official store’s homepage flags in-stock status, but the HKCC-01 product page itself shows pre-order with an estimated Q1–Q2 2027 shipment, and retailers like Nin-Nin-Game list a 2027/06 arrival. This release has already gone through at least one production run — a reissue pre-order appeared with a Q2 2027 window — so confirm with the seller whether you are buying current stock or a restock before paying.
