Blazing Wave Studio Valkyrie Brynhildr: 1/12 Debut Release
Contents
Every new studio has to start somewhere, and for Blazing Wave Studio (炽浪工坊) that somewhere is the Valkyrie Brynhildr — the brand’s debut release. A 165mm original-character 1/12 figure, it leads with one feature that immediately sets it apart at this price point: a head sculpt with an integrated movable-eye system, adjustable with a dedicated calibration tool, so you can dial in gaze direction and expression instead of settling for a fixed stare.

The package
The figure is built from a PVC / ABS / POK blend, aimed at smooth, reliable posing. The gear set is generous for a first release: an STG 2144 rifle with a detachable magazine, dual Walther P380 pistols with holsters, and two “Blazing Arc” claw knives. A swappable helmet, ten interchangeable hands, a display base and an articulated support arm round out the set — everything needed for stable high-action poses.
The movable-eye system deserves a closer look. Adjustable eyeballs are a signature feature of some of the best-loved 1/12 lines, but they rarely appear in a sub-$80 release — especially not with a dedicated calibration tool included in the box. Brynhildr’s head sculpt pairs that articulation with what Bombusbee describes as a realistic sculpt, and the display base’s support arm is designed for mid-air posing, suggesting the studio wants her jumping, landing and firing, not just standing on a shelf.
What we don’t know yet is the most important part: production quality. Official photos are renders and prototypes, and movable joints plus multi-part gear only shine if tolerances hold up at factory scale. Blazing Wave Studio is a brand-new name with no track record, so the sensible approach is the same one collectors apply to every debut release — pre-order if the price excites you, but keep expectations calibrated until in-hand reviews land in late 2027.
Why it matters
Debut releases are the riskiest bets in this hobby — and the most interesting. At an estimated US$74.99 (US$10 non-refundable deposit secures the pre-order at Bombusbee, pre-order deadline November 28 2026, estimated arrival September 2027), Brynhildr lands in the sweet spot where new studios either earn trust or lose it. The movable-eye head sculpt is a bold opening move: that kind of feature usually shows up in higher-priced lines, and offering it in a first release signals ambition rather than caution. If Blazing Wave Studio delivers the finish it promises, this could be the beginning of a new 1/12 original-character line worth following — and early supporters will have paid early-bird prices for it.
