DID has built its name on detailed 1/6 historical figures, and the A80199 Lieutenant Buck is a textbook example: a WWII US 101st Airborne Division 506th PIR paratrooper, finished to the standard the division’s “Screaming Eagles” patch demands.

DID Buck A80199 1/6 figure

The figure

Buck wears the full paratrooper configuration: an M43 uniform with paratrooper trousers, a metal helmet with net cover and inner liner, a wool jeep cap and scarf for cold weather, and genuine-leather jump boots. The head sculpt carries a furrowed-brow, serious expression, and the Screaming Eagle sleeve patch sits on the right arm.

The weapons are where the set earns its price. The Thompson M1A1 mixes metal and wood with engraved receiver markings and metal magazines; the M1911 pistol comes with a genuine-leather holster and two magazines; a metal bayonet with leather sheath and two metal grenades round out the kit.

The gear

Beyond weapons, the box is deep: a large-capacity musette bag, a metal-and-wood pick-mattock axe with canvas cover, canteen with cover, metal mess kit, a flashlight with a light-up function, and the iconic green BC-611 Handie-Talkie radio — the portable FM set that was core communications gear for airborne troops. A watch and cigarettes finish the personal effects.

Availability

OneSixthKit lists the set at $237 total, with a $37 non-refundable deposit and a $200 balance charged on release. Pre-orders cut off 10 November 2026, and the set is listed as available Q4 2026. The official DID page carries the full product description but no price. Product photography via OneSixthKit (official DID images).

Why it matters

Complete WWII paratrooper sets at this level of material mix — metal helmet, leather boots and holster, working-light flashlight — are the reason DID holds its following. Buck is a single-figure entry point into the 101st Airborne line, and the November cutoff leaves little slack.
